Shaq works very hard, and he also deserves some relaxation. Sometimes all you need is a good basketball game to really pump up the melatonin.

The Knicks battled the Hawks in the first game of the NBA Playoffs. It was a big night for the Knicks as New York returned to the Playoffs after a very long dry spell. This was thrilling for the city that never sleeps, but Shaquille O’Neal was not as energized.

The NBA Hall of Famer was caught sleeping on camera while watching the game. The video of Shaq taking a snooze was played during the halftime show. The Inside the NBA crew got a big laugh out of it.

In Shaq’s defense, it was a very long day. He is also a very busy man. He’s running Papa Johns restaurants and dining with Tyson Fury, trying to convince Jake Paul to take a fight with Tommy Fury. You never know the last time Shaq got a nap.

This siesta took place about eight minutes into the second quarter of the game. Kenny Smith asked, “What’s going on here? Is there sleeping gas in that room?”

Shaq protested after getting busted, “I wasn’t sleeping. I just got some new headphones and I was just listening to music.” Everyone had a laugh about this one.

O’Neal wasn’t the only one who got caught. Sir Charles Barkley was also busted taking a nap. There must be something in that studio making these legends so sleepy!

Have you ever got caught sleeping on the job? Sound off in the comments!!

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
