Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is one of the all-time greats in the world of professional basketball. James suffered a very nasty injury to his right ankle in the Lakers’ game against the Atlanta Hawks back in March and despite making a return, James simply hasn’t been the same since the injury.
Many fans and basketball players were displeased with LeBron James due to his actions as of late and James has simply fallen out of favor with many fans. He has been ridiculed on numerous occasions and now it seems that has happened once again.
The Los Angeles Lakers faced off against The Phoenix Suns in Game 5 and it was an outright slaughter was the Lakers lost to the Suns by 30 points. LeBron James didn’t sit through the whole match as the Lakers star headed to the locker room with over five minutes remaining in the contest.
This led to a lot of fan backlash as many fans took to Twitter and blasted LeBron James for not standing with his team in their time of defeat. Sports columnist Skip Bayless really tore into James, criticizing him for leaving his team with 6 minutes left on the clock.
Here we go again. The Drama King leaves the bench with 5:40 left in this blowout and walks quickly up the tunnel to the locker room. Guess he doesn’t want to sit through the rest of this embarrassment like his teammates have to. Guess he doesn’t want to be associated w this shame
Lakers coach Frank Vogel told reporters that LeBron James had to leave early in order to tend to his ankle which still requires treatment so that James is ready for Game 6.
“LeBron had to start his treatment. It doesn’t do any good for him to sit over there without getting worked on and beginning the treatment as soon as possible to help him get ready for Game 6.”
We certainly hope LeBron James will be in better shape for Game 6 as the Los Angeles Lakers certainly need to get their heads back in the game if they want to win.
