Dana White is known to be a very controversial figure when it comes to the proper payment of UFC stars. He was called out for this fact many times by the likes of Jake Paul. However, Dana White is also known to care about the wellbeing of his fighters in the promotion.
UFC is certainly a very physically demanding and dangerous sport where any competitor could suffer a horrific injury. Some injuries can end the careers and impact the lives of UFC fighters as well.
UFC President Dana White recently took part in an impromptu fan Q&A session with UFC analyst and on-air personality Karyn Bryant on Instagram. During the session, Dana White was asked by a fan if the UFC will offer their fighters full-time health benefits even after they retire, especially if they have to deal with life-altering issues caused due to their fighting career.
“Will the UFC ever offer their fighters full-time health benefits so they can have them after their careers are over and possibly deal with life-altering issues from fighting (?)”
In the case of the health benefits of UFC fighters, Dana White had some good news to share as he revealed that permanent healthcare for all UFC fighters will be offered ‘soon.’
Currently, the UFC provides health benefits to active members of its roster who are dealing with injury issues related to a fight or a training camp. We will have to see when the promotion will offer health benefits for those who are no longer active competitors or not.
