Donald Trump Claims Bitcoin Is A Scam & It’s Ruining The Dollar

The advent of cryptocurrency has truly changed the way people can buy and sell things on the Internet, bringing a huge change to the trading world as well. However, not everyone is a fan of cryptocurrency, especially Bitcoin.

This includes former POTUS Donald Trump, who is definitely against Bitcoin and thinks it’s basically a scam. According to TMZ, while speaking on “FOX Business” on Monday morning, Donald Trump talked about stocks, the market, the economy and that included cryptocurrency.

Donald Trump expressed his disdain for Bitcoin as he told Stuart Varney that Trump considers Bitcoin a good old-fashioned scam. Trump added that when he checked it himself, it was as low as $6,000 a piece. Now it raised to $36k for one Bitcoin and at one time it was $61k.

Trump stated that Bitcoin is just another currency competing against the dollar, and that he wants good ol’ paper money to be the king when it comes to the world of commerce.

Currently, it is not known whether Donald Trump’s negative remarks was responsible for Bitcoin’s sharp decline recently as it had already been slumping as of late. Regardless, Bitcoin is here to stay, whether Donald Trump likes it or not.
