Floyd Mayweather finally duked it out with Logan Paul in an exhibition boxing match on June 6 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Mayweather was the odds-on favorite heading into the match and many fans thought it was going to be a one-sided beatdown.
However, that was not the case at all as both Paul and Mayweather went the distance in the match, much to the surprise of fans all over the world. It seems for many fans, the match didn’t quite live up to expectations.
When the boxing match ended, there were audible boos from the crowd who were expecting a knockout victory. Regardless of the outcome, Floyd Mayweather is more than happy with what happened.
While speaking on the post-fight press conference, Floyd Mayweather addressed his critics, stating that when it comes to legalized bank robbery, he’s the best. Mayweather then added that he cares more about feeding his family by earning money than his boxing legacy.
“When it comes to legalized bank robbery, I’m the best. Your kids can’t eat legacy. They can eat off the currency. I believe in building generational wealth. That’s what’s important to me.
“It’s all about working smarter, not harder.”
Mayweather walked out of the boxing match with $100 million, truly living up to his ‘Money’ moniker. So in the end, Mayweather was truly a winner if you ask him.
