WWE Made Ring Gear for Potential John Cena Heel Turn

John Cena is undoubtedly one of the best Superstars to have ever stepped foot inside a WWE ring. He is a 16-time World Champion and was the face of the company for well over a decade. He is currently busy with his life in Hollywood and hasn’t been seen in the company in over a year.

For many years fans always wanted John Cena to become a heel and wondered how WWE would have booked such a run. It seems the company already made plans for a heel turn, including new ring gear.

While speaking on the “We Watch Wrestling Podcast,” former WWE writer Matt McCarthy stated that the company had already made new gear for John Cena in case he turned heel and this wouldn’t have included his jorts.

“Cena was like, ‘If I’m going heel, I want to go full heel,’ and it did get close enough to the point where, and I’m sure he still has this gear, like Cena had gear made for the heel turn, you know? No longer the jorts.

“I don’t know what the gear was, but he had specific gear made ready and waiting and then obviously we know it never happened.”

With John Cena likely to return in July, when live crowds finally make a return to the company, we wonder whether he will be coming back as a heel or not. Fans would certainly be excited for that.
