Celebrity boxing matches are now more popular than ever before, with notable matches such as Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather coming to mind. Since then many such matches have taken place.
At the YouTubers vs. TikTokers event, Austin McBroom utterly decimated Bryce Hall in a boxing match, further cementing the idea that social media boxing matches are the future in combat sports.
Austin McBroom was very dominant right from the beginning of the boxing match, making the TikToker regret ever competing in the match. The match ultimately ended in the third round after McBroom knocked out Bryce Hall with a vicious combination to the body.
However, the official result was a TKO and not a proper knockout. According to the deal made by the two, the loser would have to pay the winner $1 million if he got knocked out. As Hall didn’t technically get knocked out, it is unclear if he will have to pay up.
Regardless, the event took place a week after the historic Logan Paul vs Floyd Mayweather bout, which truly opened the gates for social media celebrity matches to take place. It is likely more matches of such nature will be made from now on.
