Matthew Tyler Vorce, who is best known in recent memory as Billie Eilish’s boyfriend, saw some old tweets surface that did not paint him in the best light at all. This saw a controversy spark and tons of fans called out to cancel Eilish over those old tweets from Vorce.

Billie’s actor boyfriend has spoken out on the matter. He posted an Instagram story with a text slide that addressed this situation directly. There was an apology first followed by admitting that he is ashamed of those old tweets that came to light in recent memory.

“I want to apologize for the things that I wrote on social media in the past. The language I used was hurtful and irresponsible and I understand how offensive those words are. Whether it was a lyric, a quote or just me being dumb, it does not matter. I am ashamed and deeply sorry that I used them in any context. It is not how I was raised and it is not what I stand for. I shouldn’t have used this language in the first place and I won’t use it again. I am so sorry for the hurt I have caused.”

This just goes to show that nothing on the internet really goes away, especially old tweets that include the N-Word. Vorce committed a big faux pas when he tweeted out those offensive things. He certainly learned a lesson and had to fess up to all of those old tweets. Now we will have to wait and see if the jury of public opinion is willing to let this one slide.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
