Jake Paul made it his life’s mission to play the role of a very annoying and punch-worthy character and taking part in big-money matches that break records. This includes going after Tyron Woodley, which ultimately led to the match in the first place.
After a lot of teases and speculation, it was finally revealed that Jake Paul is set to square off against former UFC star Tyron Woodley in a boxing match for Showtime Boxing on August 28th.
One of the biggest complaints from UFC over the years is regarding the promotion not paying their fighters properly. Jon Jones, in particular, has demanded he get paid a proper amount of money to compete in big fights.
Jake Paul had previously blasted Dana White over UFC not paying their fighters properly and Paul is certainly relentless when it comes to calling out the UFC President it seems.
While speaking to Below The Belt, Jake Paul once again put Dana White on blast for not paying Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou so that they can finally fight. Paul added that he is the only one who has the voice to speak up against Dana White.
“No one else has a voice really that is able to speak up against Dana (White) because at some level, in some way or another in the fight game, they have to respect Dana because he has got his hands in all the pots.
But I don’t give a f**k. F**k Dana White. He should be paying Francis (Ngannou) and Jon Jones ten million dollars each plus pay-per-view. Make the fight happen. Give the fans the fight they want to see. And I will keep on beating this to his head until there is some change. This is the new wave.”
Once again, Jake Paul has made sense and came to the defence of UFC stars who are certainly being underpaid by the promotion. The upcoming fight between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley will be taking place on August 28th for Showtime Boxing. We will have to see which competitor ends up winning the match.
