Tom Brady is regarded as a GOAT, but not everyone agrees with that sentiment. NBC Sports’ NFL analyst Chris Simms recently made some bold statements that are not resonating with those diehard Brady fans.

During a recent episode of the Chris Simms Unbuttoned, the analyst placed Tom Brady at #10 in the NFL quarterback rankings behind Dak Prescott, Matthew Stafford, Kyler Murray, Lamar Jackson, Russell Wilson and more, He went on to explain why he placed Brady at such a low ranking on the QB totem pole. That doesn’t take anything away from his leadership skills, which he is still the best.

“His talent, it’s not as good as Ryan Tannehill or Justin Herbert, but I gave a little bit more to leadership and edge and things like that — your team’s belief because of you. That’s where Brady’s special. He’s the greatest leader in the history of the sport.”

Simms also stated that it is not “all-time ranks, this is for who I’d take for 2021.” The fact is that not every quarterback has the same team wrapped around them to ensure success. Not all teams are equal, no matter how great their quarterback is.

We’ll have to see if Tom Brady can pull himself up those rankings imposed by Simms. Fans are hopeful after a recent training video showed no knee brace on the GOAT QB’s leg. Now fans will have to wait and see if he can help bring home another Super Bowl trophy to Tampa Bay next season.
