Grey’s Anatomy is currently one of the longest-running television shows out there, with its 17th season still going strong. The show made its debut in 2005 and was a smash hit with fans and critics alike. It remains ABC’s most popular drama.
Throughout its duration, the show has featured several characters being killed off or actors leaving the show. It was reported earlier that fan-favorite Jesse Williams confirmed that he will be leaving the show and that happened on an important episode of the show. On top of that, even Greg Germann left the show as a series regular.
The 17th season of Grey’s Anatomy was not received well by fans at all, as many took to social media and called the show trash, among other things. Ellen Pompeo took to Twitter and addressed one particular fan who called the season dumpster trash.
All good! Seventeen seasons we can’t please everyone all the time … it’s definitely not easy keeping it going and keeping it great… I get it…thanks for checking it out anyway… and thanks for your feedback it matters …sending you love
Ellen Pompeo would take to Twitter once again and defended fans’ rights to criticize the latest season of the show, stating that there is plenty of things she herself doesn’t like as well.
But why is someone saying they didn’t like something bad? It’s literally been on for two decades!! Let her live… there is plenty of shit I don’t like…
Not to mention people are pretty much allowed to feel however they want after this really fucked up couple of years we have had
Ellen Pompeo is known to be quite supportive of fans in general and this was certainly a refreshing take on criticism for a show which many fans feel has seen far better days. We will have to see if season 18 will be any better or not.
