Dana White is known to be a very controversial figure when it comes to the proper payment of UFC stars. He was called out for this fact many times by the likes of Jake Paul.
However, White is also well aware of talented fighters in the MMA world and is largely responsible for making UFC the MMA juggernaut that it is today. Its popularity is largely due to the fighters who come from all over the world.
While speaking to BroBible’s Arthur Kade, Dana White was asked to share his thoughts on the return of The Ultimate Fighter after a hiatus of two years.
“Usman, Rose Namajunas, Robert Whittaker, Michael Bisping, Forest Griffin, Dillashaw, Serra, Esparza, Tony Ferguson, Rashad Evans, I mean the list goes on and on. Six hall of famers have come off the show. It creates and builds real talent.”
Dana White also revealed one particular fighter who has gone beyond all expectations, as he called Kamaru Usman the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world right now.
“Like you said, Kamaru Usman came off and look how talented this kid is now. I truly believe that right now he’s the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world.”
Kamaru Usman is currently the UFC welterweight champion and has remained undefeated in the UFC so far. It is likely Usman’s stock will continue to rise as time goes on and perhaps one day he will finally get to fight Conor McGregor, which Usman has been wanting for a long time now.
