Kobe Bryant will forever be remembered as one of the best basketball players to have ever stepped foot inside the world of professional basketball. It has been over a year since the world lost Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna in a tragic helicopter crash and many people still have a hard time accepting his demise.
The late basketball legend’s wife Vanessa Bryant had filed a lawsuit against the helicopter company involved in the fatal crash that killed her husband and daughter.
According to NBC Los Angeles, Vanessa and other plaintiffs have reached a settlement in the wrongful death lawsuit against the helicopter company. Bryant and co.’s terms of agreement with Island Express Helicopters have been kept confidential and still require finalization by the court.
Vanessa Bryant had filed the lawsuit back in February of last year at the Los Angeles Superior Court, where it was alleged that Island Express Helicopters engaged in risky transportation and that pilot Ara George Zobayan, who also died on scene, “failed to properly monitor and assess the weather before takeoff.
The suit also sought damages for “pre-impact terror” and “loss of love,” among other damages. Vanessa and Kobe Bryant’s three other daughters, Natalia, 18, Bianka, 4, and Capri, 2, are also said to be named as plaintiffs.
Since the tragic passing of her husband and daughter, Vanessa Bryant has kept herself busy with various projects that Kobe Bryant used to work on as well. Even if Kobe Bryant is no longer among the living, he will forever be remembered by friends, family and fans alike.
