Nate Diaz remains one of the most legitimate fighters to have ever stepped foot inside the Octagon. Diaz last competed against Jorge Masvidal for the “BMF” title at UFC 244 back in November 2019. He lost the match via doctor’s stoppage.
At UFC 263, Nate Diaz finally made his return to the Octagon as he squared off against Leon Edwards. Unfortunately for Diaz, his return didn’t quite go the way that he wanted to as Diaz lost the fight.
Nate Diaz had also made it clear that he wants to compete in the Octagon again within the next three to four months. Nate Diaz recently called out Kamaru Usman for choosing opponents he already defeated.
Now it seems the UFC Welterweight Champion decided to reply to Nate Diaz as he took to Twitter and stated that if Diaz wants the fight, he can call UFC executive Hunter Campbell.
“I see you 209. If you really want this 187 then call your boy Hunter.”
The 209 is a reference to Diaz’s Stockton area code, and 187 is known as the police code for a murder. Nate Diaz would respond and state that he is fine waiting until Usman gets done with his fight against Colby Covington. Usman reiterated that Diaz should talk to Hunter Campbell to make the fight happen.
Ur locked down you do what ur told to do like a good champion
Key word “CHAMPION” lol. All you guys just internet tough guys nowadays. Like I said if you really want this pressure then holla at your boy hunte
Usman had previously claimed that if Nate Diaz had defeated Edwards at UFC 263, Diaz would have received a shot at the UFC Welterweight Title. We will have to see if Diaz will face Usman eventually.
