Nate Diaz remains one of the most legitimate fighters to have ever stepped foot inside the Octagon. Diaz last competed against Jorge Masvidal for the “BMF” title at UFC 244 back in November 2019. He lost the match via doctor’s stoppage.
At UFC 263, Nate Diaz finally made his return to the Octagon as he squared off against Leon Edwards. Unfortunately for Diaz, his return didn’t quite go the way that he wanted to as Diaz lost the fight.
Nate Diaz had also made it clear that he wants to compete in the Octagon again within the next three to four months. Nate Diaz recently called out Kamaru Usman for choosing opponents he already defeated.
Kamaru Usman would respond to Diaz calling him out by stating that he is open to facing him in a UFC Welterweight Championship bout in the future, should UFC executive Hunter Campbell make it happen.
Now it seems Kamaru Usman’s manager Ali Abdelaziz took to Twitter and revealed that he wants Usman to defend his title against Nate Diaz instead of Colby Covington.
“Nate over Colby all day,”
This is despite the fact that Nate Diaz isn’t even a ranked welterweight. With both parties being interested in facing off against each other, we will have to wait and see when Usman and Diaz will clash.
