CM Punk is still considered as one of the all-time greats in the modern pro wrestling era, as he had a huge fan following during his time as an active in-ring competitor in WWE.
CM Punk has competed against the best of the best throughout his career in pro wrestling. This includes John Cena, with whom he had arguably the best rivalry in the PG era of WWE. Their match at Money In The Bank 2011 is still regarded as one of the best in the company’s history.
WWE recently celebrated 19 years since John Cena made his debut in the company by uploading a video counting down his top 10 greatest on-screen rivals. It included the likes of The Rock, Randy Orton, Batista and more. However, it didn’t include CM Punk.
This omission certainly puzzled many fans as CM Punk’s rivalry with John Cena truly elevated the product. However, it is ultimately WWE’s list and it seems Punk simply didn’t make the cut for them.
