The long-awaited sequel to the classic 90s movie Space Jam will be releasing this year. The film, titled Space Jam: A New Legacy, will feature LeBron James as he works together with classic Looney Tunes characters to rescue his son from the antagonists of the film.
The film also features Bugs Bunny voiced by Eric Bauza and also includes classic Looney Tunes characters—Sylvester, Daffy Duck, and Lola Bunny, who will be voiced by Zendaya.
Development for the film started as early as the the 90s, after the original film. However, plans fell through after Michael Jordan stated didn’t want to come back for the sequel. The sequel finally became a reality after LeBron James signed on to star in the film and despite a few more setbacks and production delays, filming finally started from June to September 2019.
Now it seems the promotion for the upcoming sequel is far from over as the film dropped a new television spot with the Inside the NBA members such as Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny “The Jet” Smith, and Charles Barkley.
In a hilarious crossover, several iconic Looney Tunes characters such as Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny and others appeared on the show and showed how well they can perform in a halftime show setting.
