Jake Paul made it his life’s mission to play the role of a very annoying and punch-worthy character and taking part in big-money matches that break records. This includes going after Tyron Woodley, which ultimately led to the match in the first place.
After a lot of teases and speculation, it was finally revealed that Jake Paul is set to square off against former UFC star Tyron Woodley in a boxing match for Showtime Boxing on August 28th.
One of the biggest complaints from UFC over the years is regarding the promotion not paying their fighters properly. Jon Jones, in particular, has demanded he get paid a proper amount of money to compete in big fights.
Jake Paul had previously blasted Dana White over UFC not paying their fighters properly and Paul is certainly relentless when it comes to calling out the UFC President it seems.
While speaking on the latest Bitcoin press conference, Jake Paul explained how UFC fighters are risking their lives for Dana White and the promotion, while White and UFC simply create a monopoly and take a huge cut for themselves.
“Yeah look, I mean, at the end of the day these fighters are getting into the ring and risking their lives and people like Dana White, who own the UFC are basically creating a monopoly. UFC fighters out of any organization, out of any league that there is, the owners take the most amount of the cut versus the fighters.”
Once again, Jake Paul has made sense and came to the defence of UFC stars who are certainly being underpaid by the promotion. The upcoming fight between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley will be taking place on August 28th for Showtime Boxing. We will have to see which competitor ends up winning the match.
