Eminem doesn’t lend his voice to tracks every day. He is still grinding, but that doesn’t mean he’s dropping songs. His voice is special and it lends a unique attribute that can only be contributed to Slim Shady. One new artist is about to get some serious clout by getting Shady’s voice on their track.

Atlanta based rappers GRIP just signed with Shady Records. That is a huge accomplishment, but they’re saving a big track for their debut release.

Fan accounts broke this big piece of news as they shared a screenshot of a DM conversation. One side questioned GRIP if they were going to feature Marshall Mathers on a new song dropping tonight, but their reply was very telling.

“Naw, that’s on the album,” the official GRIP account replied. It sounds like Eminem and GRIP did get in the studio together to work on a track where Slim got in the recording booth and laid down some bars. We can’t wait for that one.

GRIP has not revealed their album release date, and it hasn’t been confirmed that Eminem has worked on a song with them yet. It’s very likely that they have been cooking up something in the lab considering how hands on Em is with all of his endeavors.

Are you planning to check out the upcoming GRIP album now that Eminem is on board? Sound off in the comments!

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
