Retired NBA star Scottie Pippen is regarded as a legend by many but at the same time, he is viewed as a controversial figure in the world of professional basketball. This is especially true after his recent comments on various people.
Scottie Pippen has come after the likes of Michael Jordan, calling him out for being selfish. He also called out LeBron James over his NBA Championship win and even Kevin Durant.
A lot of his recent bitterness can be attributed to the fact that Pippen lost his first-born son Antron earlier this year as his son tragically passed away due to an unknown cause. Since then his life has been very difficult.
While speaking to PEOPLE, Scottie Pippen opened up about his feelings after the tragic passing of his son. Pippen stated that while he has his moments of ups and downs, the retired NBA star is good and will continue to heal in his grieving process.
“I’m good. I still have my moments of ups and downs, but I’m good. There’s never enough time to truly move on from the loss, but I’ve managed, and I’ll continue to heal.”
His son passed away at the age of 33 on April 18th and the news was broken by Pippen himself, who stated that he was “heartbroken” over the loss. It is always a very hard thing for a parent to see their child die before them and we cannot imagine to think just how Pippen is truly feeling right now. We continue to give him our support and hope he can one day find peace.
