John Cena is undoubtedly one of the best Superstars to have ever stepped foot inside a WWE ring. He is a 16-time World Champion and was the face of the company for well over a decade. He hasn’t appeared in WWE in well over a year due to his busy schedule in Hollywood.
John Cena stars in Fast & Furious 9 as Jakob Toretto, the brother to Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto character. His performance in the film has already been lauded by fans and critics alike.
While speaking to Vice, John Cena talked about how his Fast & Furious 9 co-stars would fare as WWE Superstars. John Cena stated that Vin Diesel was the easiest pick and could literally become WWE Champion ‘tomorrow.’
”So, we’re going to start with the easiest one: Vin Diesel. That name already says it all. He literally could be a WWE champion tomorrow. I think you have to have something that sort of encapsulates your persona, or provides the audience with guidance based on first impressions. Vin is in great physical condition, and the way he operates in fights – I would know firsthand! – he’s very forward and he’s got the torque and power of a Diesel truck. So I honestly think that’s a fitting name. You wouldn’t have to change a thing.”
John Cena’s return to WWE is likely to be this month with the return of live crowds in attendance for WWE shows. We will have to see how his return to the company will be received.
