There is no doubt that Conor McGregor remains one of the most talked-about and highly controversial fighters in the history of the MMA world. He has competed against the best of the best the sport has to offer.
This includes his highly lauded fights against Nate Diaz, as the two faced off against each other on two occasions at UFC 196 and UFC 202. They both have one victory over the other.
Now Conor McGregor is set to have his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier soon. While speaking to TheMacLife, Conor McGregor was asked if fans are correct in comparing his trilogy fight with Poirier to his UFC 202 rematch against Nate Diaz.
McGregor agreed with the comparisons but then revealed that there is one key difference between them. The difference is that Conor McGregor will only throw kill shots in his fight against Dustin Poirier.
“The only difference between the Nate Diaz fight and this fight is that I am throwing kill shots now. Every shot I have thrown in this camp is a kill shot. So, yeah, that’s it. I am gonna kill this man.”
We will have to wait and see if Conor McGregor will be able to topple Dustin Poirier and end their rivalry once and for all at UFC 264 on July 11th.
