Donald Trump is filing a massive lawsuit against Facebook and Twitter for banning him, and Linda McMahon is still by his side. The former POTUS announced his lawsuit via a press conference yesterday and McMahon was present.
Axios reports that Linda McMahon, who is a former Trump cabinet member, was present when Trump announced his lawsuit against Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and Google CEO Sundar Pichai. He is banned from Facebook and Twitter and wants his accounts back in a big way.
This lawsuit was ushered in because Florida signed it into law that social media platforms can now be sued within the state. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis spearheaded that legislation, a fierce Trump (and McMahon) ally.
Filed with the Southern District of Florida, Trump’s lawsuit is coming for those people he feels wronged him. They banned him after he started an insurrection, but the lawsuit is going through.
The McMahon Family and Trump have been friendly for years. He is a WWE Hall of Famer and Linda McMahon currently runs the America First Policy Institute, a Super PAC that has raised millions for Trump’s efforts.
Linda McMahon was also leader of the Small Business Administration in Trump’s cabinet during his presidency. It’s not a big surprise that she was right by his side during this new endeavor.
