Conor McGregor remains one of the most well known MMA fighters in the history of combat sports and his accolades over the years speak for themselves. The Notorious is also known to trash talk often, with varied results.
While Conor McGregor has backed up his trash talks in the past, more often than not, they have also resulted in embarrassing defeats for him. McGregor also doesn’t hold any title in the UFC.
While speaking to ESPN MMA recently, Conor McGregor claimed that he only counts knockouts as wins and not consider submissions and decisions. This sparked outrage for many and now it seems Khabib Nurmagomedov decided to comment on it as well.
When ESPN MMA uploaded a post to their Instagram highlighting what Conor McGregor said, Khabib Nurmagomedov commented on the post and taunted McGregor for what he said.
“There is nothing better in this sport than bring your opponent to the deep ocean, let them know what they’re about, and let them tap.”
Khabib Nurmagomedov referenced his fight against Conor McGregor at UFC 229, where he submitted the Notorious One in dominant fashion. It remains one of Khabib’s best fights without a doubt.
