Big E is undoubtedly one of the top Superstars on Friday Night Smackdown and had been on the receiving end of a push for the past few months as a singles competitor.
It would see him win the WWE Intercontinental Championship last year and he had a solid run as the champion before losing it to Apollo Crews at WrestleMania 37. Since then many fans would agree that Big E hasn’t been booked as well.
While speaking to Vicente Beltrán of ViBe & Wrestling, Big E talked about a potential crossover between Conor McGregor and WWE. Big E stated that not everyone in the company would welcome McGregor, but there is no denying the level of attention the company would get if McGregor makes his way to WWE.
“I assume that Conor will continue to fight in the UFC. As far as his ability to crossover, I will never roll my eyes or be angry at a celebrity or an athlete from another sport getting opportunities in WWE. I don’t run this company and wasting any time or energy about who’s brought in or who’s hired… it’s a waste. As far as his crossover ability, if you ask your neighbor who this is, there’s a good chance they’re gonna know Conor McGregor, so yeah, I would never have a problem with that. Not everyone would welcome him or feel the same, but he’s extremely entertaining, and I think if he did come to WWE, I think he would get a lot of attention.”
Big E had also previously stated that he wanted Israel Adesanya to join the New Day as well. We will have to wait and see if Conor McGregor will ever make his way to WWE or not.
