Jaquan Yulee was a former Marshall football star and had a very bright future ahead of him in the world of professional football. He was also an Indian River linebacker.
However, we have some tragic news to report as Yulee tragically passed away in a horrific car crash in Virginia on Tuesday. He was only 24 years of age.
According to TMZ, the Suffolk Police Department, Yulee was driving alone in a rural area of Suffolk when his car met with an accident and was flipped onto its roof. Police officers would later arrive at the scene of the car crash at around 7:12 PM Tuesday and declared Yulee dead shortly after.
Jaquan Yulee was a touted recruit at Indian River H.S. in Virginia back in 2016 and ultimately went to Marshall despite receiving offers from various places. Despite a lot of struggles with injuries, Yulee made a solid recovery and was set to enroll at Virginia State University, Central State University or Virginia Union University for his next college football destination.
The Marshall football team also released a statement after the tragic passing of the ex-Marshall star.
”Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of former Marshall football student-athlete Jaquan Yulee. His energy and ability to connect with so many in our fanbase was exemplary. He will be missed by so many in the Thundering Herd.”
We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Jaquan Yulee during this sad time.
