Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier faced off against each other in their third fight together in the main event of UFC 264, in what was a highly anticipated fight, to say the least.
The main event truly had a big fight feel as many fans were excited to see which competitor would end up victorious. In a shocking turn of events, Conor McGregor fractured his ankle at the end of the first round, leading to Dustin Poirier winning the fight via TKO
Many celebrated Conor McGregor’s loss and that includes Jake Paul, who had a $100k necklace made to celebrate the loss, which Paul said was a way to manifest McGregor going out on a stretcher.
While speaking on his Impaulsive podcast, Logan Paul recalled a hilarious incident where a UFC representative was actually worried after getting to know that his brother Jake Paul had accompanied him to attend UFC 264. Paul claimed that Jake Paul had to wear a bucket hat to draw less attention to himself.
“And I looked at Jake because when I walked in, (to) one of the UFC reps, I said, ‘Hey, he is my brother here’. And she looks at me and she turned white. She goes, ‘Your brother’s coming?’ I go, ‘I don’t know’. She goes, ‘F**k’. I’m like, ‘I don’t think he has anything planned’
And he came here (to UFC 264) with a bucket hat, and we were surely expecting like a ‘F**k Jake Paul’ chant. But no one knew, no one could see him, ‘cause he wore a bucket hat. And because of that, I think, no attention was drawn to him. He didn’t really get to show off the chain at the event. He didn’t really get to distract Conor like he wanted to. And I think, obviously, now, Jake’s plans for fighting Conor have been a little watered down because of the whole missing ankle thing
Jake Paul had previously stated that he will fight Conor McGregor for $23 and at this point in time, it is not known whether McGregor will ever face off against Jake Paul.
