Nate Diaz remains one of the most legitimate fighters to have ever stepped foot inside the Octagon. Diaz last competed against Jorge Masvidal for the “BMF” title at UFC 244 back in November 2019. He lost the match via doctor’s stoppage.
At UFC 263, Nate Diaz finally made his return to the Octagon as he squared off against Leon Edwards. Unfortunately for Diaz, his return didn’t quite go the way that he wanted to as Diaz lost the fight.
Nate Diaz had also made it clear that he wants to compete in the Octagon again within the next three to four months. It seems Diaz already has an opponent in mind as he took to Twitter and called out Dustin Poirier for a fight.
Diaz, who is currently a welterweight, told Dustin Poirier, who is a lightweight, to move up in weight and fight him.
“185lbs Pull-up”
Dustin Poirier responded to Nate Diaz’s challenge by stating that he would face Nate Diaz at any weight division.
I’d touch you up at any weight
The two were set to square off against each other at UFC 230 in a lightweight fight, but Dustin Poirier had to pull from the fight due to injury and they never competed against each other. We will have to wait and see if the two finally get to have their fight eventually.
