Space Jam 2: A New Legacy is out, and the reviews are in. No, people are not digging this revamp of the Space Jam property. In fact, the film, currently registering in the mid-30% range on Rotten Tomatoes, has been panned by critics.

LeBron James made his money on Space Jam 2 and it will likely continue paying off. He has obviously heard some of the reviews of this film as well. All he cares about is the money coming in, because cash is king.

The LA Lakers legend replied to an article about how his film “stole the ball” from Black Widow in the box office. The reviews are atrocious, but Space Jam 2: A New Legacy still made $32 million with its opening, and the revenue will continue pouring in for the Warner Bros franchise.

“Hi Haters!” James responded as he quote retweeted that article praising Space Jam 2’s box office dominance. He also included a bright smiley emoji to really make sure his point was made.

Space Jam 2: A New Legacy squeezed virtually every piece of intellectual property that Warner Bros could into the same movie. It was called a “cash-grab”, “needless”, and “forced” by critics. The money is still green for King James.

Let’s get to know each other. Me? Well, I have a master’s degree in Journalism from Marshall University, but I don’t really like to talk about that. I was a stand-up comedian for eight years, but I don’t really like to talk about that either. I write a lot. I once worked for a company that writes blurbs for online gambling games. Those paid $.75 each. So, if you frequent that kind of thing, then you’re welcome for the description for Biker Chicken Slots or Crazy Granny’s Scratchers. I wish I had more to tell, but due to my crippling anxiety and Tourette’s Syndrome, that has become increasingly worse over the years, I tend to keep to myself.
