The long-standing rivalry between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier remains one of the most highly discussed topics in the MMA world. It culminated in their fight at UFC 264 on July 10th.

Before the fight, the Notorious One recently made headlines after he revealed that Dustin Poirier’s wife Jolie Poirier seemingly tried to slide into his DMs attempting to have a private chat with him.

Dustin Poirier would address the ongoing fiasco, as he claimed that the image was fake and his wife never tried to talk to McGregor. McGregor would double down on the claim that Poirier’s wife did in fact slide into his DMs.

While speaking to Newsmax TV, UFC President Dana White was asked about the DM incident. White was asked why he thinks Dustin Poirier’s wife attempted to contact Conor McGregor. White stated that Poirier’s wife might have been reaching out to McGregor regarding McGregor and Poirier’s beef over the donation to Poirier’s charity.

“So, there was a; I haven’t heard, but what I would assume it was is there was a huge beef between both camps over the donation to Poirier’s charity. And I’m sure the wife was reaching out about the donation for the charity. I assure you that’s what she (Jolie Poirier) was reaching out to.

Mcgregor would go on to lose his fight against Dustin Poirier after suffering a broken ankle in the first round. It was previously reported that Conor McGregor will be out of action until next year.

The fourth fight between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier was already confirmed by Dana White. We will have to wait and see if Conor McGregor will be in good shape once he makes his return to the Octagon.
