After years and years of wait, it’s finally here. Clerks will be returning for another sequel to its two highly-acclaimed movies in the series. Clerks III will begin shooting in August, and pre-production for the film has already started in New Jersey.
Kevin Smith had been desperately trying to get the third part on the production run, so now that the movie has become a real possibility, fans and the indie-legend alike can take a breath of fresh air.
Inspired by Kevin Smith’s own very real heart attack, the movie was based a man suffering a lethal heart-attack, and having survived it, he tried to immortalize himself with the help of Dante, Elias, Jay, and Silent Bob by making a movie on his life at the convenience store.
Kevin Smith is bringing the team back for the third part of the movie, with Randal Graves, Brian O’Halloran as Dante Hicks, Jay Mewes as Jay, and Kevin Smith as Silent Bob. The movie will also recast Rosario Dawson as Becky from the sequel.
