Dr, Dre is undoubtedly one of the most accomplished rappers in the history of the Hip Hip world and now it seems the apple doesn’t all far from the tree as his son Curtis Young decided to follow in his father’s footsteps.
While speaking to TMZ, Curtis Young decided to branch out and make a name for himself as he recently bagged the starring role in a feature film called “Charge It to the Game” and will also compose original music for the film.
The film is a coming-of-age story about 4 best friends finding their way through adolescence and going through a lot of hurdles and obstacles that come in adolescence. Young stated that he will be portraying the role of Kong, one of the friends’ older brothers.
Curtis Young added that his character’s younger brother is being played by Snoop Dogg‘s son, Julius Broadus … and Swizz Beat‘s son, Nasir Dean, is playing one of the 4 best friends.
Young had always wanted to be an actor and he finally got his big break with the upcoming film. Curtis had auditioned to play his father in “Straight Out of Compton,” but didn’t get the part. We will have to wait and see how good his debut role will turn out to be.
