While the COVID-19 pandemic has made many artists lose hundreds of thousands in revenues as there has been no touring, it seems that many big rappers are capable of making big money regardless.
A recent Billboard revealed that such big-name rappers who saw the most cash in 2021 are Post Malone, Drake, YoungBoy Never Broke Again & Lil Baby. They’re at the top in the least of the top paid musicians of 2020.
With Post Malone being at No. 2 of the list, his revenue for the pandemic year totaled at $23.2 million, with a fair amount of it coming from streaming, and his pre-lockdown tours brought a whopping $12.4 million to the table.
Drake ended up at number 6 on the list subsequently with $14.2 million, YoungBoy Never Broke Again at number 9 with $11.9 million & Lil Baby in the 10s with $11.7 million in revenue.
The list included other rap figures from the industry such as Eminem with $9.7 million standing at number 14, Lil Uzi Vert with $9.5 million at number 15, DaBaby with $9.1 million at Number 17, Future with $8.2 million at Number 22 and Roddy Ricch with $7.4 million at Number 24.
