In the first quarter of Game 5, which saw the Phoenix Suns lose against the Milwaukee Bucks, one Suns fan decided to cross the line when it came to the notion of counting out the seconds it takes for Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo to shoot free throws.
The fan could be seen counting $100 bills during Antetokounmpo’s foul-shot routine. This all took place on live television and it became one of the most talked-about aspects of the whole game.
Many fans really wanted to know who that person who and even broadcaster Jeff Van Gundy wanted to know the identity of the person with the $100 bill. Naturally, the man became a viral sensation overnight.
Many fans took Twitter and showed their concern for the man as he certainly took a huge risk by counting at least $1,200 worth of bills and then flaunting it around. One fan wanted to know if the man made it out safely while another fan was very sure the $100 bill man did not leave there unscathed.
“I wanna know if the Suns fan counting money made it home safely.
The Suns fan counting his money during Giannis’ free throws is guaranteeing that he gets jumped in the parking lot after the game.”
Antetokounmpo certainly did not have a good performance during the game as he was 4-for-11 in free throws during the game, which was his worst performance since he went 0-for-3 against Atlanta in Game 4 of the conference finals. Regardless, the $100 man will be remembered longer than Antetokounmpo’s performance.
