The Rock was in the Fast Franchise, but he might not be in Vin Diesel’s Family. Dwayne Johnson has confirmed that the Fast Saga will conclude without him.
There are two more movies in the Fast Sage before they close the whole story. Fast 9 was the first in a trilogy of films to conclude everything that they’ve been building for years. Hobbs & Shaw saw The Rock return and play his Fast character, but he won’t be back for 10 or 11.
The Hollywood Reporter spoke to Dwayne Johnson where he referenced the “tough love” comment that Vin Diesel dropped about him. This was followed by confirmation that his days on the Fast & Furious set are over.
“I think everyone had a laugh at that. And I’ll leave it at that. And that I’ve wished them all. I wish them well on Fast 9. And I wish them the best of luck on Fast 10 and Fast 11 and the rest of the Fast & Furious movies they do that will be without me.”
The Rock wished the cast and crew best in their future endeavors, but he’s not joining them for those adventures in a motor-heavy world. There are plenty of other project to get his attention. A presidential run could even be in the cards, and that is a very promising idea for some fans.
