Pop sensation Britney Spears is certainly a controversial figure in the music world, going back to her 2007 meltdown and her father then moving to form a conservatorship around Spears’ estate.
Britney Spears finally spoke out against her father’s conservatorship on June 23rd addressing a Los Angeles Superior Court judge via video. For a long time, Britney Spears has been working hard to get her father out of her life. Spears compared her father to a “sex trafficker” and said that “he loved” having control over her.
The conservatorship pushed back many people Britney Spears was close to and that includes Lance Bass. While speaking on the “Heather Dubrow’s World” podcast, Lance Bass claimed that he has not spoken to Spears in years due to her conservatorship.
“We’ve been kept away from each other for quite a while.”
“I don’t know exactly what she needs, but I do know that she, to me — [from] what I see — is sane enough to pick her own people,”
Lance Bass has known Britney Spears since the late ’90s, when Bass’ group NSYNC and the Grammy winner dominated the pop music charts back in the day. Regarding her conservatorship case, she has her own lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, to represent her from now on. We hope she will finally be free from her father’s clutches.
