Kanye West remains one of the most iconic and influential rappers in the Hip-Hop world right now and he also has a very good mind when it comes to being a businessman, as the rapper has built his own empire.
The rapper is also notorious when it comes to the release of his albums and that includes his highly-anticipated album called ‘Donda.’ Kanye West recently held listening parties for his long-delayed album Donda. However, the album didn’t actually arrive on July 23rd and that certainly did not sit well with fans.
Kanye West also did not perform at Rolling Loud in Miami recently, which disappointed fans as well. However, despite all that, it seems Kanye West’s recently ‘Donda’ listening party shattered records.
According to TMZ, Kanye West’s recently ‘Donda’ listening party at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta broke the Apple Music Global Livestream record as 3.3 million viewers listened to the event.
This shattered the previous record held by Gucci Mane and Jeezy in their Verzuz battle earlier last year as that received around 1.8 million viewers. It was said that the ‘Donda’ listening party was a one-time deal.
It was further added that once ‘Donda’ releases, the Atlanta performance will be available on Apple for fans to watch again. Kanye West was said to be busy producing his ‘Donda’ album and temporarily moved inside the Mercedes-Benz Stadium to get it done. We will have to wait and see if Kanye West does release his album on August 6th or not.
