John Cena is a 16-time World Champion and carried the company on his back throughout the PG era. From 2017 John Cena became a part-timer in WWE and has appeared sporadically due to his busy schedule in Hollywood.
On the other hand, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson needs no introduction when it comes to the pro wrestling world as he is still regarded as one of the all-time greats. He is also a dominant force in Hollywood and brings huge star power to any film he acts in. The Rock is also a businessman and a very conniving one at that.
John Cena is currently set to start in DCEU’s The Suicide Squad, where he will portray the role of The Peacemaker. The Rock is also involved with DC as he will be portraying the role of Black Adam in DCEU’s upcoming film of the same name.
While speaking to ComicBook.com, John Cena stated that a clash between himself and The Rock in the DCEU is inevitable and that he is ready, willing and able for the fight between his Peacemaker and The Rock’s Black Adam.
“You know me. Ready, willing, and able. And answering the phone whenever it rings. I’m good. I think that the excitement is starting to build with fans, whether you talk about the conversation of Fast, or you talk about now the DC Universe. I don’t want to say we’re on a crash course and it’s inevitable. I want to, because I’m a fan. But we’ll see. We’ll see what happens. Tell me what he says.”
The Suicide Squad is set to release on August 6th, 2021 while Black Adam is slated to release in theaters on July 29, 2022. We will have to wait and see if John Cena and The Rock face off against each other on the Silver Screen as well.
