UFC featherweight and bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes continues to be one of the best women fighters to have ever stepped foot inside the Octagon.
However, she is not superhuman and is susceptible to contracting viruses and that happened recently as Nunes tested positive for COVID-19, which ultimately detailed her plans for UFC 265.
Amana Nunes was set to square off against Julianna Pena and defend the UFC bantamweight title. In fact, Amanda Nunes’ wife Nina and infant daughter Raegan, also tested positive for COVID-19.
Amanda Nunes recently took to Twitter and reacted to the sad news, as she asked fans to stay tuned for a new date for the UFC bantamweight title fight.
We were more than ready for this fight, unfortunately sh*t happens. Stay tuned for a new date. Testei positivo para o COVID nova data em breve. @NinaAnsaroff @ConanSilveira @raeganannnune
It was said that the fight could be rescheduled for a date in December. We will have to wait and see when the fight will officially take place.
