The rivalry between Conor Mcgregor and Dustin Poirier reached a whole new level as it culminated in the main event of UFC 264, as the two fighters took each other on in the highly anticipated fight.
In a very shocking finish to the fight, Conor McGregor fractured his ankle at the end of the first round and Dustin Poirier was declared the winner via TKO after the fight ended due to doctor’s stoppage.
The Notorious One went under the knife in a 3.5-hour-long surgery for his fractured tibia. After the surgery was over, Conor McGregor provided an update on his condition, stating that he will be on crutches for 6 weeks.
McGregor already previously revealed that he is no longer wearing a cast on his leg. McGregor also took to Twitter and uploaded a series of photos of himself working out at the gym despite still wearing a leg brace.
