Nate Diaz remains one of the most legitimate fighters to have ever stepped foot inside the Octagon. Diaz last competed against Jorge Masvidal for the “BMF” title at UFC 244 back in November 2019. He lost the match via doctor’s stoppage.
At UFC 263, Nate Diaz finally made his return to the Octagon as he squared off against Leon Edwards. Unfortunately for Diaz, his return didn’t quite go the way that he wanted to as Diaz lost the fight.
Nate Diaz had also made it clear that he wants to compete in the Octagon again within the next three to four months. Now it seems UFC fighter Gilbert Burns has called out Nate Diaz for a fight.
Gilbert Burns took to Twitter and accused Nate Diaz of running away from a fight with him and then put a $200k bet on their proposed fight at Madison Square Garden.
“Hey guys, when I was fighting @NateDiaz209 was running his mouth. Now I’m free, and he is free, he is running away. @NateDiaz209 let’s fight at MSG for 5 rounds. Loser has to pay the winner extra $200K Niteroi RJ vs Stockton CA. #DontBeScaredHomie”
We will have to wait and see if Nate Diaz will accept Gilbert Burns’ challenge or if he will ignore him and fight someone else.
