DaBaby is undoubtedly one of the most popular rappers in the Hip-Hop world right now but he is also known to take things too far and is also a subject of controversy. He managed to make headlines for all the wrong reasons recently as well.
During his performance at Rolling Loud in Miami, DaBaby caused quite a stir after making a controversial and homophobic statement. This led to fans being irate and bashing him on social media.
All of this has led to him being cancelled by fans and events alike. On top of that, he was previously dropped from the upcoming Lollapalooza lineup. To add to his woes, he was removed from the Governor’s Ball as well.
Back in June it was announced that the rapper would headline KS 107.5’s Summer Jam concert that included artists like Jack Harlow and Saweetie. However, it seems that won’t be taking place any longer.
The station took to social media and revealed that they have made the decision to cancel the event, with DaBaby’s controversial remarks having some responsibility for it being cancelled.
“In light of various factors, including DaBaby’s recent comments, along with our concert partners, we have chosen to cancel this year’s Summer Jam,” the station shared to their Instagram. “We look forward to working on Summer Jam Lineups for years to come with our love of music and each other. Tickets will be refunded from your point of purchase.”
It is likely DaBaby will continue to be punished for his actions for a long time coming as it is merely just the beginning right now.
