UFC President Dana White is notorious when it comes to cancelling big money matches for no reason. This is exactly what he did when White prevented UFC legend Georges St-Pierre from fighting boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya at Triller Club. This is due to the fact that St-Pierre is under contract with the UFC.
Oscar De La Hoya was certainly furious at the announcement and so were many other people. It came to such a point that Oscar De La Hoya even challenged UFC president Dana White to a fight. Dana White would mock De La Hoya’s challenge as well.
Regardless, Oscar De La Hoya is undoubtedly one of the most popular professional boxers in the history of the sport and is set to make his return to the sport against Vitor Belfort.
While speaking to the Pat McAfee Show, Dana White made it clear that he is picking Belfort as the winner and stated that White is praying Belfort viciously knocks out De La Hoya.
“I’m praying Vitor knocks this crackhead out- and viciously. Viciously knocks him out.
Oscar De La Hoya is set to square off against Vitor Belfort on September 11th. We will have to wait and see if De La Hoya will be able to win the match or not. De La Hoya also made it clear he wants a rematch against Floyd Mayweather.
