Khabib Nurmagomedov will forever be regarded as one of the best UFC fighters to have competed in the MMA world. He ended his MMA career for good back in March and since then has been enjoying his life in retirement.
Earlier this year the legendary Russian fighter was in the news again for apparently turning down a proposed fight with Floyd Mayweather. Khabib seemingly received an offer of $100 million for the fight.
The two have been hinted at facing off against one another after Khabib Nurmagomedov’s iconic Conor McGregor in October 2018 and Khabib had claimed there were discussions with Saudi Arabia for the match.
While speaking on the Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson podcast, Khabib said that he turned down the offer to fight Floyd Mayweather because he didn’t want to upset the boxing community.
“I don’t wanna make boxing community upset with me.”
Khabib Nurmagomedov stayed true to his words and it seems he has no intention of coming out of retirement for any sort of fight, even if it’s worth a ludicrous amount of money.
After what Conor McGregor said about Khabib’s father, nobody would blame him for wanting to knock out Notorious. No matter how upset he is, Khabib isn’t going to get back into the fight game. He’s 100% retired.
