The Rock’s film career has seen him star in many amazing roles. Franchises flock to Dwayne Johnson to gain his additional star power. Netflix also broke the bank for their new film for the Great One.
Red Notice, starring Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot is yet to be released, but it’s already making a lot of waves. According to Seven Bucks Productions’ President of Production, Hiram Garcia, in an interview with Collider the highly anticipated Netflix action film is the biggest movie streaming service has ever done.
“Red Notice is such a fun film! It’s the biggest movie Netflix has ever done and they were incredible partners making sure we had everything we needed to finish the movie in the middle of a pandemic.”
Despite all the challenges that came amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Garcia stated that they’re very impressed with how the film came together, thanks in large part to the film’s cast.
“Gal, Ryan and DJ have such amazing chemistry and look awesome together,” he raved. “You just can’t get enough of them. Plus the film has a fun throwback vibe to it, with DJ being an FBI profiler chasing after the most wanted art thieves in the world.”
The Rock has one big project lined up after another, but WWE fans would love to see a return to the company. He is rumored for a Survivor Series role of some kind, but he’s not copping to that report just yet.
Red Notice is scheduled to be released on November 12, 2021. It is directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber and cost up to $200 million to produce.
