WWE does not currently have Brock Lesnar on their active roster, but there’s always a chance he will return. He makes everything look brutal, but it’s apparently not as bad as some think.
Brock Lesnar gets a bad rap for not taking care of his opponents in the ring. According to former WWE wrestler Heath Slater, that isn’t necessarily the case as The Beast Incarnate is just looking out for himself.
Slater met Brock Lesnar on Monday Night Raw a couple of years ago during his free agent gimmick. He suffered a clothesline, two suplexes and an F-5 from the former Universal Champion after uttering the words “I got kids,” to which Lesnar then responded with: “I don’t give a sh*t about your kids.” That was a classic, and meme-worthy, line.
During his appearance on Title Match Wrestling, Heath Slater opened up about working with The Beast.
“Yeah, I think he gets a bad rap for it,” Slater said. “But then again, he’s looking out for him. That’s just how he always has been and that’s how he always will be. You know, he looks out for himself and makes sure he’s okay, and there you go.
“But working Brock, you don’t really work Brock. He just throws you around and you’ve just gotta land safely and stuff. Oh no, he does [take care of opponents]. All those German suplexes, man, that I’ve taken, he’s landed me flat. Of course it hurts but it’s one of those things.”
Slater also explained that Brock Lesnar is a laid-back guy and he doesn’t cause any problem backstage.
“Honestly, I don’t think he ever causes anything,” Slater added. “Every time I’ve been in the mix with him, he’s like, ‘I don’t know, maybe this, maybe that.’ I’m just like, ‘Ah, sh*t, maybe I won’t die!’”
Brock Lesnar made his last WWE appearance at WrestleMania 36 where he dropped the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre. There was speculation that he had signed a deal with AEW, but the rumors were put to rest.
