John Cena is a 16-time World Champion and carried the company on his back throughout the PG era. From 2017 John Cena became a part-timer in WWE and has appeared sporadically due to his busy schedule in Hollywood. That could change after SummerSlam, but he is still booked for the SmackDown supershow at Madison Square Garden.

Cena made his return at the WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view last month and since then has appeared on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night Smackdown. Since his return John Cena has been determined to not only focus on his craft but also give emphasis to other WWE Superstars and help them by observing their matches.

While speaking to Chris Hardwick on ID1OT, John Cena revealed that he watches as much WWE content that he can and put himself in the shoes of other talents.

I watch WWE. I still watch when I’m there. I watch as much of the matches as I can and I put myself in their shoes. When they do something that I wouldn’t necessarily do, it’s not like, ‘Fucking kids don’t get it. Why did they do that?’ I can learn just by watching,”

Sami Zayn would certainly attest to John Cena’s claim as Zayn recently revealed John Cena raved about his match against Finn Balor during a WWE house show.

Cena didn’t specify how much WWE he is able to watch while working on his many projects outside of the company. He also commented on how WWE is a “brand new world” this time around since he company changed directions in 2020.
