Jake Paul is undoubtedly one of the most popular boxers in the world right now thanks to his insanely huge big-money boxing matches and the hype he builds for each of his matches. The YouTuber turned boxer also possesses a face that many people would like to punch, including his own friends. Jake Paul also loves trash talking his opponents before his matches and it has been quite effective on each occasion.
After a lot of teases and speculation, it was finally revealed that Jake Paul is set to square off against former UFC star Tyron Woodley in a boxing match for Showtime Boxing on August 29th. The two also agreed on an interesting stipulation involving tattoos.
Jake Paul takes his boxing career quite as he goes to the gym 18 times a week to hone his craft. While speaking on a recent AMA session, popular MMA coach Firas Zahabi talked about Jake Paul’s upcoming fight against Tyron Woodley.
Firas Zahabi accused Jake Paul of using performance-enhancing drugs ahead of his boxing match when asked about the drug testing situation in the match.
“I didn’t want to mention it, but my number one factor — Jake Paul’s corner, they’re going to be on all sorts of substances.
I don’t think they test. Maybe the week of the fight, (but) there’s no USADA. I didn’t want to say, but I think that’s a major factor. When I say he’s bigger and stronger and he’s more athletic, I think he’s basically on PEDs.
“I hate to say it, but I definitely think Jake Paul is going to be on PEDs. It exists in the world of boxing, just like it exists in MMA. And I don’t think Tyron will be on PEDs. I think Tyron will be totally natural. Does it make a difference? It absolutely does.”
Paul has to contend with Tyron Woodley, who is definitely his toughest opponent to date. We will have to wait and see if Paul will be able to topple Woodley or not in the boxing match on August 29.
