Dana White is known to be a very controversial figure when it comes to the proper payment of UFC stars. He was called out for this fact many times by the likes of Jake Paul. However, it cannot be dismissed that Dana White has made UFC what it is today as it remains the most popular promotion for MMA in the world right now. The world of MMA has certainly grown exponentially since its humble beginnings a couple of decades ago.
Recently, Dana White claimed that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon couldn’t have written a better script when it came to two former sparring partners Ciryl Gane and Francis Ngannou fighting for the UFC Heavyweight Championship. That line wasn’t lost on many fans.
While speaking on his podcast Weighing In with Josh Thomson, veteran MMA referee ‘Big’ John McCarthy put Dana White on blast and accused him of copying Vince McMahon’s character and more.
Dana needs to bow down to Vince [McMahon] because he stole everything from Vince. He stole his persona, he stole exactly how he runs his company, all of that.
So to sit there and say that Vince couldn’t have written this better, ok, well he taught you exactly what to do and you’re the one that kind of tried to build this together by creating this fake title for a guy that shouldn’t be the champion based upon you have a real champion sitting there.
It is unknown if Dana White will even decide to respond to these accusations. Regardless, Dana White operates UFC the way he sees fit and that is unlikely to change anytime soon.
