Jake Paul is one of the most popular boxers in the world right now thanks to his huge boxing matches and the hype he builds for each of his matches. The YouTuber turned boxer also possesses a face that many people would like to punch, including his own friends. Jake Paul also loves trash talking his opponents before his matches and it has been quite effective on each occasion.
After a lot of teases and speculation, it was finally revealed that Jake Paul is set to square off against former UFC star Tyron Woodley in a boxing match for Showtime Boxing on August 29th. The two also agreed on an interesting stipulation involving tattoos.
Jake Paul takes his boxing career seriously as he goes to the gym 18 times a week to hone his craft. While speaking to MMA Junkie, Jake Paul talked about his upcoming fight against Tyron Woodley. Jake Paul noted how he previously predicted he would knock out Woodley in three rounds. Jake Paul decided to make it two rounds instead, indicating just how confident Paul is in his skills.
“You know, I’m happy with whatever outcome there is. You know, part of me wants to go more rounds just to get that experience under my belt because I haven’t gone more than one and a half rounds. So, we will see, however, my original prediction was three rounds and knocking him out in three rounds. I just think, with how sharp I am coming in, with how well I’m doing in camp and I know every fighter says this but like seriously, legitimately, I back up everything I’ve said so far in every single interview with every single, with every single fight, so I’ve sort of taken it down from three rounds to maximum two.”
Paul has to contend with Tyron Woodley, who is definitely his toughest opponent to date. We will have to wait and see if Paul will be able to topple Woodley or not in the boxing match on August 29.
